DESCRIPTION
On the Island of Ischia, in the heart of the old historic centre of Forio, you'll find Villa MariaLuisa, a lovely country house surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden with lemon, orange, mandarin and palm trees, English lawn.
All complex is build with consideration of the local nature surrounding the villa. Whole area especially the garden, for a fresh relax under the trees after a sunny day, is kept with great care.
The country Villa offers recently-restructured independent Apartments with a garden and all comforts, of various sizes (from 50 to 90 qm) for 2-5 people.
Together with the features of the mansion, from Forio's port (100 meters) there is every day trip for Capri, Naples, Amalfi, Sorrento, Pompeii, Positano, Vesuvio.
Villa is in Forio on the northern side where there are a lot of evocative areas of naturalistic interest; It is the only town which has preserved its entire historical centre with its tiny streets, churches, sighting towers and monuments.
The charming village of Forio Of Ischia with its many restaurants where it's possible taste some tipycal food, bar, pubs, delicatessen shops, is only five minutes at walk from Villa.
Villa are near the most beautifuly seaside of Island and the most important Thermal garden (Poseidon and Negombo).
The main Beaches of Ischia (Citara, San Francesco, Cava dell'Isola , Chiaia) are at walking distance from the Villa , but you can also walk there or take Bus or minibus.
The nearness to the bus station allows also to reach the most far places of the town, like garden of Villa Gancia; 'Villa Mortella garden's Lady Walton (1st in the competition anniversary ' The beautifulr Park of Italy 2004 ') ; Poseidon Thermal Garden ( a park with more 20 swimmingpool in a bay of Citara) and la Colombaia ( museum of Luchino Visconti Director of 'il Gattopardo); the Soccorso'church; Torrione'big tower, San Vito'church.

PRINCIPAL DISTANCES:
Villa Maria Luisa is just 100 metres from both the town centre of Forio ( where is Characteristic restaurant, Pizzerie and shops) and the port.
The nearest beach is just 400 metres away.
The spa gardens are just 1 km away (it takes just 15 minutes to walk there).
The nearest bus stop is 150 metres away and it is then just 10 km to Sant'Angelo (a splendid town typical of this area, perfect for romantics).
How to get to Villa Marialuisa.
On foot: From Porto di Forio, to the left (next to the Bar "La Lucciola"), you’ll notice a small uphill foot walk (Via Di Lustro), leading to the centre of town. The climb finishes at an intersection with a church on the right (Via Regine). Continue straight on (Via Roma) for around 150 metres, then after the second curve, turn towards the first street on the right (Via Vecchia, no indications), and after about 20 metres on the right a green gate will open up to let you into Villa Marialuisa.
By car: Exiting the Port of Forio, proceed on the right (Via Cristoforo Colombo), continuing on the road that runs along the coast. Pass the tunnel and then turn right to continue along Via Colombo. After around 1 km (and after passing the restaurant "Scogli degli Innamorati" on your right), take the first road on your left and proceed for about 800 metres (passing the church of San Vito on the left), then turn into Via Vecchia at the first street on the left. After about 20 metres, you’ll notice a green gate on the right with a sign indicating Villa Marialuisa.
By plane: From NAPLES CAPODICHINO airport, either of Naples’ two ports (Beverello and Mergellina) can be reached by taxi in 20-30 minutes, asking the taxi driver to apply the fixed rate for this specific route. A bus line (the ANM ALIBUS) also serves the CENTRAL STATION and port of NAPOLI BEVERELLO directly, with regular runs every 30 minutes from 5:50 am to 11:30 pm.
By train: Naples’ ports can be reached from three different stations:
NAPOLI CAMPI FLEGREI. The port of Mergellina is easily reached from this station by TAXI, bus, tram or subway. Mergellina is about 3 km from the train station.
NAPOLI MERGELLINA. This station is only around 200 metres from the port of Mergellina.
NAPOLI CENTRALE or NAPOLI PIAZZA GARIBALDI. Both these stations allow immediate access to Piazza Garibaldi, which is around 4 km from the port of NAPOLI Beverello, easily reachable by taxi, tram or bus.
By Bus (NEW)
